The story behind Kid Friendly London
How this all started
Kid Friendly London was started by Natalie, a mum to a wonderful little girl. The idea came from a problem she kept running into — whether visiting a new part of the city or exploring closer to home, the same question always came up: where can we actually eat out as a family? Not just somewhere that tolerates children, but somewhere that genuinely welcomes them. Somewhere with highchairs, a decent kids menu, space for a buggy, and food worth travelling for.
After searching for a resource that didn't exist, Natalie decided to build it herself. Kid Friendly London is the guide she always wished she'd had — honest, practical, and built around the things that actually matter when you're dining out with little ones.
The Screen-Free Restaurant Pack
Natalie is also an artist, which is why alongside the directory she has created the Screen-Free Restaurant Pack — a free downloadable activity pack designed to encourage children to draw, imagine, and be creative while they wait for their food. No screens, just pencils and imagination.

We also partner with Future We Love, an art and creativity platform built around a simple idea: when people open their hearts and imagine better futures, those futures become more possible. Every month we feature children's artwork submitted through our free creative downloads — drawings of futures kids would love to see. It's one of our favourite things.
