Kalyani

Kalyani brings Kerala flavours to Croydon in a spacious, modern setting that's genuinely welcoming to families with young children. The restaurant offers highchairs and buggy-friendly access, plus a kids menu that keeps little ones sorted while parents dive into regional specialities. The chicken mandi gets consistent praise for tender, flavourful meat, while the Kerala parotta comes "fresh and flaky" alongside curries like paneer butter masala or beef kizhi parotta. "I ordered the sadhya and can barely move after I smashed it," one reviewer notes of the traditional feast, a bargain at £14.99. The chilli chicken and chicken 65 appear frequently in positive reviews, and staff members like Mr. Potty and Sanjai earn mentions in reviews for attentive, friendly service. Reviewers return for the genuine Kerala cooking and report warmth from the team. Best for unhurried weekend meals when you want proper South Indian home-style dishes without the flight to Kochi.
