French Society has quickly become Mill Lane's answer to a proper Parisian bistro, a small West Hampstead spot with rustic interiors and a window onto the open kitchen. The pavé potatoes turn up in nearly every review, alongside the duck confit, onglet, and a crème brûlée that regulars happily order twice. Staff like Zoë, Anish and Jasmine get singled out in reviews for warmth, and one diner noted the kitchen carefully checked their dish for gluten-free cross contamination. Highchairs and buggy access are available for earlier sittings with little ones, and the pavement tables are pleasant for a carafe before dinner. "What a gem."
