Fig Tree Cafe
Sandwiches, salads & drinks in a compact coffee shop with wood interiors & rustic accents.
Café · Streatham
The Rookery Café sits at the edge of Streatham Common, where families stop before or after walks through the neighbouring Rookery gardens. Inside feels cosy in winter, while the large outdoor seating area catches the sun year-round. Highchairs are available, and buggies roll easily onto the terrace. The menu leans toward locally sourced breakfasts and seasonal specials, including Mexican corn fritters with poached egg. Coffee comes strong, made with good beans, and seasonal lattes (pumpkin spice, gingerbread) rotate through. One parent writes, "This is actually pretty exceptional for a park cafe... the food and presentation is most definitely above and beyond other local parks." Dog-friendly too, with cheese toasties at £5 and a lemon drizzle cake that appears in reviews again and again. Best for a leisurely weekend stop when you've got time to linger.
